I think it is a matter of safety. Most countries use the unit away "the right" in general. This is a flyer on the left side near the "center", which makes it easy to adjust the distance between the line charge is easier to keep an eye on traffic. 's in the head or near the head of the accidents are almost always wrong!

In countries where people drive on the left side, the wheels are in place for the same reason!

It may be the remains of horses and the days of mistakes, but I think it is a problem of security and not the historical background.

It is a shift of the march label before cars were invented. The man is always exposed on the side of women in the open approach in order to spatter, to protect what happens in passing cars.

Is also as a coach, a man driving the team on the other side of the sidewalk, it is possible to allow a passenger to be placed on the sidewalk, without risk of damage caused by through traffic.

Courtesy was without the kindness, grace and life of the water mark in great courtesy.

It's just a relic of a civilized time, as the Republic.

Well, I do not know what about a century ago, an agreement in which all heads of state agree that driving on the right side of the street to be processed, were on the left side for better visibility and better control with the passing cars. Commonwealth countries, not with this rule, because most of them were separated from the other world with a barrier Watter (islands, as are the United Kingdom and Australia) agreed to take the path left of the road to the right place the wheel

In England the law.

That's what I could get on the left side of the road in his car, and then fight with his right hand, probably for most people, their "sword hand" against the men off the streets.

It is also why defend the spiral staircases in castles, turning in a certain way, so it is easier against the attackers to climb the ladder, because they are more difficult to fight for his right hand to close within the scale because less space to stop, etc ...

I have no idea why it is on the left side, though perhaps to leave everything was attacking) or persons not a problem for the road .....

With apologies to Fiddler on the Roof of the tradition.

You have the horse on the left side of the car to protect his wife or girlfriend of lead hazards in traffic.

When the engine replaced the horse, the rider sitting on the left side.
